The 1st of June

June 1, 2012

My 1st quarter of 2012 was waaaayyy too much for me to handle. I had such a heavy summer as well. But, the Lord is good. He made way for every good thing to reach me. He amazingly prepared everything behind the scenes, unknowingly. He is such an amazing God! And now, I started and ended my first day of June perfectly.

I think this year will be a different year for me. I'm claiming His word on Philippians 1:6. I believe everything will slowly fall into its proper places as the Lord guides me to go through each and every day.

I am looking forward to whatever the Lord has in store for me.

For now, I will be enjoying my Belgian Chocolate drink as I end my day :)

for keeps :)

March 1, 2010
02:43am

In a couple of days I will be flying back home. I'm trying to recall my extended vacation stay here in Manila. I have been here since November, and I have been to a couple of places - thanks to friends of my sis and bro-in-law :) Since day 1, we already went somewhere far even up until my last few days. I'm really thankful for these people's kindness and even their company. They made my short/extended stay here a memorable one. :)

They may be "new found friends" but the camaraderie spent ties a bond that I guess hope pray will last 'til our last day on earth :) Friends for keeps? :)

24/7

February 2, 2010
Just another day

24 hours a day, 7 days a week - this is what an ATM would say.

Indeed, in a day, a person has 24 hours to either waste or use. An average lifestyle would take about 8 hours of sleep, another 8 for work/school, an hour or two for meals and breaks, and 6 hours to spend with friends, do shopping, or whatever nature calls one to do. But, of course, different kinds of lifestyles calls for a variation of time schedules. (lol)

Now, when and where do we spend/make use of our time? Is it with the family? Is it with friends? Is it with a loved-one? Is it at school? Is it at home? Is it for something useful? Or is it something for ourselves?

Let the Love Begin

February 1, 2010
Monday
First day of the Love Month

"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly;
what is essential is invisible to the eye."
- Antoine de Saint-Exupery

The Love Month has begun, the Heart's Day fast approaching.

People from every corner of this world have prepared for this season. Some planned and organized surprises, some are expecting these; some are waiting for invites from their "someones"; some have saved up for the special occassion, some are willing to spend much; while some just thought of simple yet exqusite celebrations. Different strokes, for different folks.

Whatever the kind of preparation one has exerted for this season, the common thing among everyone else is that efforts and sacrifices have been made, to walk the extra mile, for a loved-one.

Inspiration

January 31, 2010
Sunday
Last day of the first month of the new decade.

It is the first day of the week, perfect time to start something - like this blog.

Today, I watched Julie and Julia, for the second time, with my sister, Pilar, and brother-in-law, Eric. One of the main characters in this movie is Julie Powell who had a Project 365 - going through a cookbook and blog about it, whole year round. Blogging and cooking at the same time. Julie Powell's drive to finish this project encouraged me to start one of my own.
