Inspiration

Last day of the first month of the new decade.

It is the first day of the week, perfect time to start something - like this blog.

Today, I watched Julie and Julia, for the second time, with my sister, Pilar, and brother-in-law, Eric. One of the main characters in this movie is Julie Powell who had a Project 365 - going through a cookbook and blog about it, whole year round. Blogging and cooking at the same time. Julie Powell's drive to finish this project encouraged me to start one of my own.

Blogging has long been known to the world through the world wide web. Different kinds of blogs are being posted in every minute of every day by different bloggers throughout the world.

My sister, Rosanna, has been encouraging me to do a blog of my own. She even brought me to a Blogging101 workshop of the CDOBloggers once, to broaden my knowledge in this field. (She is the "master" in this area, and I am just her student). For months, she has been telling me to create my own blog. There were times that I tried to do it, but hindrances come in the way. Well, I guess this is just the inspiration or the push that I was waiting for. A start of something new. A new beginning. A stepping stone.

Efforts of all kinds are needed to pursue this "project". But I'm sure I'll find my way around. I hope and pray that I'll have all the inspiration I need to go on with this blog. God willing.

Today is a fresh start. I'm looking forward to what tomorrow may bring.
